And so i’m back in Thailand, this time in the Eastern part, also known as Isaan. I wasn’t impressed though, i found it quite boring except for the visit of silk weaving village near Surin which was an interesting sight to see.

After Isaan i went back to Sangkhlaburi to attend a Vipassana meditation course which lasted for 10 days. It was such a powerful experience and i was so happy that i decided to do it! I continued my way to Chiang Rai far in the Northern Thailand. I spent a few days in a small village up in the hills and it was a very pleasant and peaceful experience. I had all this time to meditate and wander around the lovely trails.

After Chiang Rai i moved to Chiang Mai which is a pretty big city but i liked it. There’s something charming about it and i loved to walk around and explore it. I also did a Thai foot reflexology course. It was a very relaxed time there and i took time to try some new foods. I felt so comfortable staying in Chiang Mai and living this vagabond life, i loved eating street food and visiting markets where i could buy all this tasty fruits and veggies. Markets really were one of my favourite parts of this whole adventure.

I continued my way towards West, to a village called Mae Sariang. It’s a small village but very pleasant to walk around and meet all these nice and friendly people. The only downside was that they were burning fields so the air pollution was really high at that time. Otherwise, i found it very charming and special.
